Making your lampshade in Japanese paper woven the “Kamihimo”

Abat-jour-Kamihimopaier-japonais_Cours-stage-apprendre-DIY_L-Etablisienne-Paris  Japan is known throughout the world for its culture of paper from a long tradition. Among the various Japanese papers, Washi paper is best known for its enormous strength and tear strength.
Sandra proposes to come to realize your shade of Japanese woven paper.

The Washi was used as a packaging material for writing and painting since the 16th century and had a significant impact on the Japanese arts and culture. The Kamihimo are long threads produced from paper Washi (Kami = paper, Himo = yarn). All Kamihimo yarns are produced according to ecological guidelines and can be biodegradable without residue.

The shade that you will realize during this week-end will be of cylinder form, and of a diameter 30 cm. All materials will be provided to you.
